As we begin a new year, what do you want to create this year?
The holidays are over. Work for many of us is ramping up again. Some people report that they feel discouraged, sad, or depressed as the new year begins.
What can we do proactively to prepare for a great new year?
HOW TO PREPARE FOR 2024
Here are some suggestions:
- Imagine yourself someday looking back at your life. What are the most important things for you to do in this lifetime? Once you make a list, start doing at least one activity per month throughout the year.
- Learn how to play a sport.
- Start journaling or documenting your day-to-day life. Write your biography. Share your life story to help inspire others.
- Spend time with family and close friends.
- Tend to your mental, spiritual, and physical health.
- Enjoy your favorite foods more.
- Mentor people younger than you.
- Adopt or foster an animal in need.
- Monitor/reduce your smartphone usage.
- Engage in activities that make you feel fully alive.
These are just some ideas as we begin this new year.
